Family Martinez Bujanda comprises 3 Bodegas which, although very different, all have one common denominator: to make wines using grapes sourced from their own vineyards, all of which are located in privileged locations.
Family Martínez Bujanda first started out in the wine trade in 1889, their family’s philosophy has been one of quality and innovation, always based on an obsession with producing wines from the grapes harvested at our family’s own vineyards.
Their long tradition as wine producers has led them not only to seek out more vineyards but also to seek out the best vineyards from each area.
These are vineyards that enjoy exceptional conditions, with regard to altitude, specific location, rainfall – microclimate, types of soils etc
Only this way can they act according to their own convictions and their grandparent´s vision of progressing and innovating in all aspects.
They are tackling two challenges, with more hope and expectations than ever:
- To progress through continous improvements and innovations in the wines they are currently producing.
- To develop new wine styles from new or revived indigenous varietals through continued research and development.
