The winemaking tradition of the Grier family began in the 1970′s with cousins Jeff and Simon Grier qualifying as oenologist and viticulturist respectively. Their pursuit of winemaking excellence found a home in 1983 with the purchase of the Villiera vineyards in the Stellenbosch Region. A short while later Cathy Grier (now Brewer) joined the family business to head up the sales team.
